Crossings Authority inspectors found a variety of drones with high quality cameras in a shipment of toys that was stopped at the Kerem Shalom Crossing.

The Shin Bet intelligence agency has thwarted additional attempts to smuggle commercial drones into Gaza in recent weeks.

Israel has formed a joint task force, made up of the Shin Bet, the IDF Coordinator for Government Activities in the Territories, the Israel Police, and the Crossings Authority to intercept the smuggling of such items into Gaza.

The administration of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said it has launched an investigation to track down the network behind the attempted smuggling effort.
