Trump on Nice attack: ‘It’s out of control … and it’s only going to get worse’

The United States is at war with radical Islam and unless it gets “strong leadership” and shores up its borders “it’s only going to get worse,” Donald Trump said.

In the wake of the terror attack in Nice, France on July 14, the GOP presidential candidate told Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly that “we have a president that doesn’t want to call it what it is. And you know you look at World Trade Center, you look at San Bernardino, you look at Paris, 130 people killed and so many injured in Paris from that attack, and you look at Orlando. It’s out of control. And Bill, unless we get strong and really strong and very, very smart leadership, it’s only going to get worse.”

O’Reilly asked: “If it’s a world war, then you have to mobilize NATO. You have to get all the NATO countries to say we are going to commit forces, both ground and air to wipe ISIS off the face of the earth. Do you not?”

“I would say that would be just fine,” Trump responded. “We are supporting NATO and we should at least get something out of it and getting rid of ISIS and getting rid of this cancer that we’re watching all over the world, that certainly would be a good thing.”

“Would you go to Congress and ask for a declaration of war?” O’Reilly asked.

“I would. I would. This is war,” Trump said. “If you look at it, this is war coming from all different parts. And frankly, it’s war and we’re dealing with people without uniforms. You know, in the old days you would have uniforms. You knew what you were fighting. These people — we are allowing people into our country who we have no idea where they are, where they’re from, who they are, they have no paperwork, they have no documentation in many cases and Hillary Clinton wants to allow550 percent more than even Obama and he is letting them in by the thousands. It’s out of control.”

Hillary Clinton would permanently resettle close to one million Muslim migrants during the first term of her presidency alone, according to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Clinton has said she would expand Muslim migration by importing an additional 65,000 Syrian refugees into the United States during the course of a single fiscal yea and made no indication that she would limit her proposed Syrian refugee program to one year.

The 65,000 Syrian refugees would be added on top of the roughly 96,000 Middle Eastern migrants the U.S. resettled on green cards in a single year. Based on the minimum numbers Clinton has put forth thus far, as president, she could potentially resettle approximately 644,000 Middle Eastern migrants during her first term alone.

According to a September 2015 Rasmussen survey, women voters oppose Clinton’s Middle Eastern refugee plan by a striking 21-to-1 margin. Democrat voters oppose Clinton’s refugee plan by a 17-to-1 margin. Significantly, 85 percent of black voters oppose Clinton’s refugee agenda – with less than one percent of black voters supporting her plan.

Meanwhile, Newt Gingrich told Fox News Channel’s “Hannity” on July 14 that anyone in America who practices Sharia Law should be “deported.”

“Let me start where I am coming from and let me be as blunt and direct as I can be — western civilization is in a war. We should frankly test every person here who is of a Muslim background, and if they believe in Sharia, they should be deported,” Gingrich said. “Sharia is incompatible with western civilization. Modern Muslims who have given up Sharia — glad to have them as citizens. Perfectly happy to have them next door. But we need to be fairly relentless about who our enemies are.”
