A California Republican congressman said the information he received during a three-hour meeting with WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange at the Ecuadorian embassy in London this week would have “an earth-shattering political impact.”
Assange “reaffirmed his aggressive denial that the Russians had anything to do with the hacking of the DNC during the election,” Rep. Dana Rohrabacher said.
“I will have discussions with President Trump before going public, and that should happen hopefully within two weeks of now, by the end of the month,” Rohrabacher said.
“In the end, the American people are going to know more than what they know now, and it will be with more certainty.”
Rohrabacher, who said he believes the leaking of the DNC’s emails was an “inside job,” said that Assange “has given us a lot of information. He said there’s more to come.”
“There are some things we just have to go to the president with and see what he says, and then see how we can actually work its way so the American people know the truth,” Rohrabacher said.
“It wouldn’t be so important if Democrats hadn’t focused so inordinately on the Russians,” Rohrabacher said. “Democrats are creating a total upheaval over this.”
