President Donald Trump on Tuesday ordered the Department of Justice to fire any remaining U.S. attorneys who were appointed during the Biden-Harris administration.

Trump wrote in a post to Truth Social: “Over the past four years, the Department of Justice has been politicized like never before. Therefore, I have instructed the termination of ALL remaining ‘Biden Era’ U.S. Attorneys. We must ‘clean house’ IMMEDIATELY, and restore confidence. America’s Golden Age must have a fair Justice System – THAT BEGINS TODAY!”

Several U.S. attorneys resigned on Monday after others departed last week.

NBC News, citing a source familiar with the matter, reported last week that one of the Biden-era U.S. attorneys received a letter from Trent Morse, the deputy director of the Office of Presidential Personnel, that read: “At the direction of President Donald J. Trump, I am writing to inform you that your position as U.S. Attorney is terminated, effective immediately.”

Last week, Danielle Sassoon, the acting U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, resigned after the Trump Justice Department directed her to dismiss corruption charges against New York City Mayor Eric Adams.

Denise Cheung, the top criminal prosecutor at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia, resigned on Tuesday after a directive to launch an investigation into Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) funding that was green-lighted by the Biden-Harris regime.

On Monday, Trump announced he is nominating Ed Martin for the full and permanent term of U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia.

“Since Inauguration Day, Ed has been doing a great job as Interim U.S. Attorney, fighting tirelessly to restore Law and Order, and make our Nation’s Capital Safe and Beautiful Again. He will get the job done,” Trump said.
