Noble said 2D and 3D seismic data have estimated energy reserves in its exploration block at more than 30 trillion cubic feet. In the Leviatan site alone, executives said, reserves could amount to 16 trillion cubic feet.

Executives said Noble has not yet estimated the amount of oil underneath the gas reserves. They said the prospect of finding energy at Leviatan was 50 percent.
