The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is reporting “historic low” numbers of illegals being apprehended at the border with Mexico.
On Friday, Border Patrol agents in Texas encountered 199 illegal aliens. One year earlier, on Feb. 21, 2024, 4,393 illegals were caught crossing the border in Texas.
Texas DPS spokesman Lt. Chris Olivarez said the state is taking a “Whole-of-Texas” approach to assisting the Trump administration’s efforts related to border security.
