An animal rights activist on the FBI’s most wanted list for a series of terrorist attacks has been arrested after 20 years on the run, the bureau said.

Daniel Andreas San Diego, 46, was arrested in Wales on Monday. He was wanted in connection with a slew of animal rights-related pipe bomb attacks that unfolded in the San Francisco area in 2003, the FBI said.

San Diego was accused of setting off two homemade pipe bombs on Aug. 28, 2003 at Chiron Corp. — a biotech company in Emeryville.

He then allegedly sent a bomb strapped with nails that exploded at Shaklee Corp. — a nutritional company — in Pleasanton, on Sept. 26, 2003.

The FBI said San Diego targeted the two companies because they were linked to a lab that had conducted animal experiments.

No one was injured in the 2003 blasts.

San Diego was put on the FBI’s most wanted terrorist list in 2009.

The UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA) made the arrest on Monday, the organization confirmed, in the Conwy area of Wales.

Sky News reported that San Diego was arrested at a property in a rural area next to woodland.

He appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday as the process to extradite him to the U.S. to face charges begins.

“Daniel San Diego’s arrest after more than 20 years as a fugitive for two bombings in the San Francisco area shows that no matter how long it takes, the FBI will find you and hold you accountable,” FBI Director Christopher Wray said in a statement. “There’s a right way and a wrong way to express your views in our country, and turning to violence and destruction of property is not the right way.”

Wray’s statement was ridiculed by many who wondered how the FBI could expend resources for 20 years to track down a pipe bomb suspect in attacks where there were no injuries while at the same time allowing BLM/Antifa to violently burn and loot cities at will in the summer of 2020.
