Those targeted were identified as Musa Asoglu, Zerrin Sari and Seher Demir Sen, deemed responsible for attacking U.S. military and diplomatic installations.

“The department has authorized rewards of up to $3 million each for information leading to the location of Musa Asoglu, Zerrin Sari and Seher Demir Sen,” the State Department said.

In a statement on April 2, the State Department said DHKP/C was formed in 1994 in wake of the splintering of Devrimci Sol. Three years later, the United States designated DHKP/C a terrorist organization.

The last major DHKP/C attack was reported in February 2013. A suicide
bomber affiliated with the group blew himself up outside the U.S. embassy in
Ankara, and a Turkish security guard was killed.

Asoglu was identified as a member of DHKP/C’s central committee. The
statement said Asoglu was the group’s fundraiser and appointed leader in
2008.

Ms. Sari was identified as the widow of DHKP/C founder Karatas Sari, who
died in 2008. She was believed to be living in Belgium, the Netherlands, or
Germany.

“Seher Demir Sen participated in Dev Sol in the 1980s and joined DHKP/C
after it formed in 1994,” the State Department said. “She currently serves
on DHKP/C’s central committee.”

Officials said Ms. Sen lived in Greece. But officials said she might
have left Greece after U.S. pressure on Athens for her capture.

“Her current whereabouts are unconfirmed,” the State Department said.
