Taliban delegation made stealth visit to China to undermine Kabul

A two-man senior Afghan Taliban delegation paid a secret visit to Beijing last November to discuss collaboration with Chinese military and security officials. The objective? To destroy the U.S.-supported Afghan government and revert the country back to the Taliban rule that was toppled by the U.S. invasion in the immediate aftermath of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

The trip was first reported in the Pakistani newspaper the News on Jan. 2 and was subsequently confirmed by Aimal Faizi, a senior Afghan official who was the spokesman for the former Afghan President Hamid Karzai.

The news put China in an uncomfortable situation due to the Taliban’s murderous notoriety. On Jan. 6, Hong Lei, spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry indirectly confirmed the Taliban visit to Beijing and was pressed to provide more details on the Taliban/Beijing talks. Hong refused to give more details but stated that:
