Acting in the wake of the Islamic terrorist attacks throughout Paris, Special Operations Speaks (SOS) and its 150,000 petition signers today renewed its call for Congress to demand that the State Department freeze the Obama refugee relocation plan “until all vetting protocols are released and the number of ISIL fighters that have entered the United States is declassified.”
In a strongly worded statement, Colonel Richard F. (“Dick”) Brauer Jr. USAF, (Ret.) said the Obama plan to relocate 100,000 “refugees” from “hotbeds of radical Islamic extremism” throughout the Middle East, Africa, and Asia is “nothing short of national suicide”:
“The heinous and horrifying Islamic terrorist attacks throughout Paris on Nov. 13 confirm beyond a shadow of a doubt that President Barack Obama’s outrageous plan to relocate 100,000 so-called “refugees” from hotbeds of radical Islamic extremism is nothing short of national suicide. The FBI has already admitted to Congress that it cannot properly vet this massive influx of potentially dangerous adversaries from alien cultures. And even its efforts to monitor potential Islamic terrorists already on our soil is “out of control.”
Several Republican presidential candidates including Dr. Ben Carson and Senators Ted Cruz of Texas and Marco Rubio of Florida have also criticized the relocation plan over the weekend. Donald Trump described the as plan “insane”, and former Gov. Jeb Bush has called for it to be scaled back.
Brauer urged Congress to demand that the State Department freeze the refugee relocation plan “until all vetting protocols are released and the number of ISIL fighters that have entered the United States is declassified.”
He blamed an epidemic of terrorist attacks on the Obama administration’s “tepid, inadequate response to the ever-expanding ISIL caliphate.”
“We have a president who on the very day of the Paris terrorist attacks claimed that because of his stellar efforts, ‘ISIL has been contained.’ And we have a State Department that is now turning a blind eye and a deaf ear to the carnage caused by those from very countries whose ‘refugees’ it says we must welcome with open arms – and checkbooks.”
