CAIRO — Libya has claimed the recapture of oil terminals operated by rebel militias.

_76012016_libyasidraraslanuf4640714Prime Minister Abdullah Al Thani said the military seized two oil terminals that had been under rebel control for more than a year.

Al Thani said the terminals at Ras Lanuf and Sidra were opened on July 2.

“Today we regained control of the ports at Ras Lanuf and Al Sidra,” Al
Thani said. “The oil crisis is now over.”

The announcement, confirmed by a rebel leader, marked the return of
government control over all four Libyan oil terminals.

In April 2014, Tripoli returned to the two smallest terminals as part of an agreement with
the rebels.
