Obama elevates ISIL jihadists from JVs to ‘killers with good social media’

The terror group U.S. President Barack Obama once called the “junior varsity” has moved up to become “a bunch of killers with good social media,” according to the president.

At a Nov. 22 press conference in Malaysia that concluded a nine-day trip abroad, Obama said the U.S.-led coalition against Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL) “will not relent. We will not accept the idea that terrorist assaults on restaurants and theaters and hotels are the new normal, or that we are powerless to stop them.”

“They can’t beat us on the battlefield, so they try to terrorize us into being afraid, and changing our patterns of behavior, and panicking, and abandoning our allies and partners, and retreating from the world,” Obama said. “As president, I will not let that happen.”

Obama has been heavily criticized for his response to the Paris terror attacks. Obama described the slaughter of 130 people as a mere “setback” in the battle against ISIS.

Obama has reserved his most heated expressions of anger for the backlash in the United States against his pledge to accept at least 10,000 Syrian refugees in the next year. It has been confirmed that two of the terrorists who carried out the Paris attacks had entered Europe posing as refugees.

The U.S. House of Representatives on Nov. 19 passed a bill that would suspend the program allowing Syrian and Iraqi refugees into the country until national security agencies are able to certify they don’t pose a security risk.

“My hope though is, now that we have some time to catch our breath and take a look at this carefully, that people understand that refugees who end up in the United States are the most vetted, scrutinized, thoroughly investigated individuals that ever arrived on American shores,” Obama said.
