Matt Drudge slammed congressional Republicans for all but surrendering their power to President Barack Obama on a fast-track trade bill.

Drudge took to Twitter say the Trade Promotion Authority bill could be to blame if the GOP candidate loses the 2016 presidential election. He also said the secrecy surrounding the deal with Obama was “clearly treason.”

The tweets from Drudge included:

• Twisted DC: Electing Republicans is guarantee of MORE power for Obama . . . Of course none of them read ‘secret’ bill!

• Disrespect for voters is staggering. Boehner will not make public ‘most important’ trade deal in history? Hides behind ‘classified’ status.

• BOEHNER: We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it.

• BOEHNER claims trade bill support from ‘farmers, manufacturers, small business owners’ . . . HOW?? They have not read it.

• If Republicans lose 2016 it can be traced tonight’s trade deception. At least with Hillary we will get Sex, Drugs and Lawrence Welk.

• It’s bad enough members of Congress do not read trade bills they approve . . . but not letting the public even see them? Clearly treason!!

The Senate cleared the trade pact on May 22 with 48 Republicans and 14 Democrats voting in favor. House Speaker John Boehner promised it would clear the House.
