Little sister plays big role in Kim’s regime

SEOUL — North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un’s younger sister Kim Yo-Jong has surged to the top of the country’s hierarchy and is expected to serve as the No. 2 leader, the position held play by her late uncle, sources and analysts here say.

The secretive country has recently unveiled Kim’s official title, calling her a deputy director of the Workers’ Party.

When the state media reported on Kim Jong-Un’s Nov. 27 on-spot guidance tour in Pyongyang, they said he was accompanied by a group of senior officials, including “vice department directors of the Workers’ Party Central Committee, Kim Yo-Jong and Kim UI-Sun,” among others.
