Officials said the Tripoli government reached agreement to open rebel-held oil export terminals.

The officials said the accord would renew operations at the ports of Hariga and Zueitina, which until 2013 processed 200,000 barrels per day.

“It was announced on Sunday evening the opening of the oil ports of Hariga and Zuetina,” Libya’s official news agency LANA said.

Rebel militias did not confirm the port openings.

The militias have sought autonomy for eastern Libya as well as a portion of oil revenues.
