The U.S. Defense Department has awarded a $330.8 million contract for the supply of jet fuel for Israel. Under the Pentagon contract, Valero Marketing and Supply Co. would supply fuel to Israel’s military over the next year.

“This is a one-year base contract plus a 30-day carryover,” the Pentagon said.

In a statement on Oct. 31, the Pentagon said Valero, based in San Antonio, Texas, would deliver aviation turbine fuel to Israel.

The Pentagon, through the Defense Logistics Agency Energy, said Valero bested three other bids.
