Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL) has said it murdered a Syrian anti-ISIL activist in Turkey.

In a video posted on Nov. 1, ISIL said it “slaughtered” Ibrahim Abdul Qader, 20, of the Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently (RBSS) activist group and fellow media activist Fares Hamadi in Sanliurfa on Oct. 30 “after they conspired with the Crusaders against ISIL.”

Members of the RBSS group have been executed by ISIL in the past, but this is the first time an activist was murdered outside of Syria.

Kurdish fighters and officials from Western allies have frequently charged that Turkey has allowed ISIL jihadists to move back and forth across its 566-mile border.

Deadly bomb attacks in southern Turkey, including one in July that killed 32 people in Suruc, have been attributed to ISIL though the terror group has never claimed responsibility for the blasts.

The video released by ISIL on Nov. 1 displayed a series of news reports about the RBSS group and its activities and closed with what was said to be footage of Hamadi being executed by an ISIL jihadist.

“May every apostate know that he will be slaughtered silently,” the video said.
