LONDON — A leading Iranian missile plant is said to have been
struck by a series of explosions.

Iranian opposition sources said three explosions rocked a missile
research and storage complex in Teheran. The sources said the blasts were
heard on May 7, but did not know of any casualties or damage.

“There were explosions, but exactly where and what took place remain
unclear,” a source said.

The sources reported three explosions in the western portion of Teheran,
the site of the missile complex. The official Iranian media did not confirm
that the complex was targeted.

The Mujahadeen Khalq, regarded as the largest resistance group in Iran,
relayed reports of the bombings. Mujahadeen said one of the explosions might have targeted a chemical plant.

This marked the second bombing of an Iranian military complex in 2013.
In January, the opposition said a huge explosion destroyed much of the
Fordow underground uranium enrichment center.

Iran has reported another earthquake near its only nuclear energy
reactor at Bushehr. The official Iranian news agency Irna, which did not
report casualties or damage, said the earthquake on May 6 registered 5.1 on
the Richter Scale, with an epicenter of 100 kilometers from Bushehr. This
marked the second earthquake near the reactor in one month.
