Ghazi Nasr Al DinWASHINGTON — The United States is searching for an alleged financier of the Iranian-sponsored Hizbullah.

The FBI has been investigating an alleged financer of Hizbullah. The suspect was identified as Ghazi Nasr Al Din, who carried dual citizenship in Lebanon and Venezuela.
“He is wanted for questioning regarding his fundraising efforts with Hizbullah contributors,” the FBI said.

Al Din became the latest suspect in Hizbullah’s suspected infrastructure in the United States. Officials said Hizbullah has recruited a network to raise funds and ship technology to Hizbullah in Lebanon.

In a statement on Jan. 29, the FBI provided few details of Al Din. The U.S. agency said Al Din, sought by the FBI office in Miami, was placed on a list of so-called terrorism suspects not yet indicted.

“Al Din speaks Arabic and Spanish,” the FBI said.
