Next chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff affirms emerging China policy
Army Gen. Martin Dempsey, nominee to be the next chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told the Senate Armed Services Committee last week that the Pentagon is bolstering forces in the Pacific in response to China's military buildup.
In written answers to questions from the committee, Dempsey was asked how the United States should respond to China's military buildup.
