Iran blinks: Calls back flotilla said bearing bombers enroute to Bahrain
MANAMA — Iran backed down from plans to challenge Bahrain in wake of the quelling of the Shi'ite revolt by the Gulf Cooperation Council kingdom.
Officials said Iran ordered two boats headed for Bahrain to turn back before they reached the Sunni Arab state.
