U.S. concerns about Egypt policy shifts set aside; Arms deals resume

WASHINGTON — The administration of President Barack Obama has resumed major U.S. defense projects in Egypt. Officials said the Defense Department has resumed the awarding of contracts for major military projects in Egypt. They said resumption took place in wake of a U.S. review of the new military regime that replaced Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak in February.
