Heron-1 sets records for the use of UAVs in Afghanistan
LONDON — A NATO military has increased its use of the Heron-1 unmanned aerial vehicle. Australia has increased operations of the UAV, produced by the state-owned Israel Aerospace Industries.
The Australian military, deployed in the NATO stabilization mission in Afghanistan, said its Heron fleet has set a record with 475 flying hours in April.
