Iran reinforces borders to block spread of unrest from neighbors
NICOSIA — Iran has bolstered security to prevent the spread of unrest from neighboring Arab states.
Officials said Iran's military and security forces have sent reinforcements along its borders, including Iraq, Kuwait, Pakistan and Turkey. They said the biggest threat was that Gulf Cooperation Council states would send operatives to stir unrest within Iran's Arab and Kurdish minorities.
