Iran claims it has developed, set to deploy long-range air defense radar
NICOSIA — Iran intends to deploy a new long-range radar in 2011 which may be a variant of Russian technology.
Officials said the Defense Ministry has overseen the development of a long-range radar system for air defense. They said the indigenous radar would contain an early-detection capability of up to 3,000 kilometers.
