Reformist Prince Salman gaining clout in staunchly pro-U.S. Bahrain
WASHINGTON — The United States has determined that Bahrain was undergoing a transfer of power.
U.S. government documents reported an assessment that Bahrain's king was relaying authority to his son as part of an effort to modernize the Gulf Cooperation Council state.
