NSC official played key role in blocking sale of F-16s to Taiwan
A key player involved in the Obama administration's policy of refusing to sell needed arms to Taiwan was identified by The Washington Times last week as Evan S. Medeiros, a pro-China academic on the White House National Security Council staff.
Medeiros has sought to influence U.S. security policy toward China by opposing plans and policies by those who favor more U.S. support for Japan and India.
