U.S. Strategic Command unsuccessfully sought talks with China on nuclear intent
The commander of U.S. nuclear forces said that questions remain about China's strategic nuclear forces and efforts to seek talks with China on its nuclear arsenal have been largely unsuccessful.
Air Force Gen. C. Robert Kehler, U.S. Strategic Command commander, said during a hearing of the Senate Armed Services strategic forces subcommittee that Chinese strategic nuclear forces military leaders have been invited to hold talks.
