During his visit to China, Defense Secretary Robert Gates praised China for pressing North Korea to rein in its provocative activities following the November shelling of Yeonpyeong island, killing four people. But U.S. officials say China is continuing to provide large amounts of aid and development assistance to North Korea, including port development and transportation infrastructure development.
