A senior Iranian official said the Teheran regime signed contracts for
the transport of Iranian gas to Europe and Pakistan.
The official, National
Iranian Gas Co. director Javad Oji, did not identify the prime contractor
for the $2.5 billion project, Middle East Newsline reported.

In a Dec. 21 statement, Oji also said Iran would also construct two
refineries at a cost of $4 billion. He identified the state-owned Bank
Saderat as being awarded an 80 percent share, but did not cite the
contractor.
Iran has insisted that its energy sector was not hampered by Western and
United Nations sanctions imposed in mid-2010. But Western governments said
several major projects, particularly development of the South Pars gas
reserve, have been suspended or delayed.
