The Iraqi Oil Ministry said crude oil output would rise by 17 percent
over the next year. The ministry said the total Iraqi oil production
capacity would reach 2.75 million barrels by early 2011, Middle East Newsline reported.
Officials said Asian companies have been negotiating contracts for
energy exploration and development.
