The ministry said the facility was designed to transport up to 60 million meters of gas per day, Middle East Newsline reported.
"It will be constructed within three years," National Iranian Gas Export Co. director Javad Oji said on July 24.
Turkey has confirmed the project, with Som Petrol reportedly a partner with Iran.
Turkey's NIGC was also said to have been a partner, while the Ankara government denied any involvement.
