"By the end of Iranian year 1391 [mid-2012] South Pars gas production capacity will increase to 175 million cubic meters per day," Pars Oil and Gas Co. managing director Ali Vakili said.

Teheran has sought to raise capital to develop South Pars amid U.S. efforts to tighten sanctions on Iran's energy sector. On May 3, Teheran opened the second stage of a bond issue to raise 250 million euro for South Pars.
