Officials said the Hamas regime has determined that at least 100
Palestinians were working for Israeli intelligence in the Gaza Strip. They
said the Islamic regime has warned that these agents must either surrender
and renounce their links to Israel or face execution.
"We will launch a ferocious war against them," Hamas Interior Minister
Fathi Hamad said.

On May 21, Hamad said the ministry had set a deadline for suspected
Palestinian collaborators to surrender, Middle East Newsline reported. He said the collaborators
were given two months to surrender and renounce their links to Israel.
"We must maintain homeland security and will prosecute those who supply
information to the Zionists about the Palestinian resistance," Hamad said.
In April, a Hamas military court executed two Palestinians accused of
helping Israel during the 2009 war in the Gaza Strip. Officials said scores
of other Palestinians were undergoing investigation or held in custody on
suspicion of espionage.
Hamad said the ministry has offered to clear any collaborator who
surrenders and repents. He said these people would be given immunity from
prosecution as well as ensured confidentiality.
Officials said several of the alleged collaborators fled to Israel
during the Hamas war in December 2008 and January 2009. They said many of
the collaborators provided Israel with information on Hamas missile and
rocket production, tunnel construction as well as the movements of leading
commanders.
