U.S. conducting region-wide recon ops with U2s based in Cyprus
LONDON — The United States has been employing Cyprus for air reconnaissance operations throughout the Middle East.
U.S. government documents asserted that the military was using the Republic of Cyprus as a base for reconnaissance operations in much of the Levant.
