Israel reviewing new vertical-take-off UAV for naval deployment

TEL AVIV — Israel's military has been examining a new hybrid unmanned aerial vehicle. Executives said the military has been receiving briefings on the new Panther UAV from Israel Aerospace Industries. They said Panther, which comes in two variants, was one of the few UAVs, that could take off vertically and then fly forward as a fixed-wing aircraft.
