U.S. developing an unmanned aerial vehicle powered by a laser beam

LONDON — The six Gulf Arab states and Jordan are preparing to increase military spending over the next five years. The British consultant Frost & Sullivan has assessed that the six Gulf Cooperation Council states as well as Jordan have drafted military budgets that reach $68 billion in 2011. The consultant said the budget would grow to $80 billion by 2015.
