U.S. on full alert as Turkey shifts its regional alignments
WASHINGTON — The State Department has increased monitoring of Turkey, fearing a drift from NATO toward Iran and Syria.
At the same time, Israel has responded to such an apparent shift by Turkey by moving to firm up strategic ties with Greece.
