Report: Iran firing artillery at Kurdish villages in northern Iraq
WASHINGTON — Iran's military has been targeting farmers along the border with northern Iraq, a report said.
Human Rights Watch (HRW) said Iranian troops were firing at Kurdish farmers in northern Iraq as part of Teheran's counter-insurgency campaign. The New York-based group said the Iranian military was firing artillery and other weapons into villages in the autonomous Kurdistan region.
