U.S. working with Iraq to develop multi-agency intelligence community

BAGHDAD — Iraq has been developing an intelligence community based on professional standards. . . . The first intelligence agency established after the ouster of President Saddam Hussein was the Iraqi National Intelligence Service. Later, parliament and the Interior Ministry authorized the inception of other agencies, including DGIS. The Iraq Army has also been operating an intelligence corps.
