TEL AVIV — Israel has learned that Hamas is building remote-control rocket launchers in the Gaza Strip.
The state-sponsored Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center said the Hamas military has constructed sites that contained launchers designed to automatically emerge from underground bunkers and fire short- and medium-range rockets. The center said Hamas was assisted by the Iranian-sponsored Hizbullah, which employed remote-controlled rockets in the war against Israel in 2006.
