TEL AVIV — The Israel Army has been expanding its counter-insurgency facilities in preparation for a regional war.
Officials said the Army has accelerated training and construction of CI facilities to enable all combat units to fight a conventional as well as urban war. They said military planners envision the next war as being fought in cities in the Gaza Strip and towns in southern Lebanon.
