CAIRO — Yemen has determined that the Al Qaida network was receiving support from European Union nationals.
Officials said the Sanaa government has detected recruitment of British, French and Americans to the Al Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula, which operates in Saudi Arabia and Yemen. They said at least 50 foreigners, most of them Westerners, have been detained and interrogated as Al Qaida suspects in Yemen in 2010.
