Special From Geostrategy-Direct.com

Japan's Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama will seek to have the U.S. Marine Corps Futenma air base on Okinawa moved to the Henoko district of Nago, Okinawa, according to an internal report obtained by Japan's Kyodo news agency. According to the report, the Japanese discussed the feasibility of building the replacement runway on piles in shallow waters instead of on new landfill and stipulated that the government will give the "utmost consideration" to local residents and the environment in its construction.
