The Iranian Navy has embarked on missions in the Gulf, Sea of Oman and Gulf of Aden. Officials said the Navy has foiled piracy attacks in the Gulf of Aden near the coast of Yemen.
This marked the second time in less than a month that the Iran Navy has reported missions outside the Gulf. In April, the navy said it foiled an attack on an oil supertanker with a cargo worth $159 million.
