The outgoing commander of the U.S. Northern Command last week questioned whether moving air defense and missile warning out of Colorado’s Cheyenne Mountain to a more exposed Air Force base lessened the security of the facility.
“I think the questions about the security of our operations are valid ones,” retiring Gen. Eugene Renuart said last week.
