CAIRO — The Al Qaida network in North Africa has sought to expand its presence in Morocco. Officials said Morocco's intelligence community has detected growing efforts by Al Qaida to expand its presence in the North African kingdom. They said the Al Qaida Organization in the Islamic Maghreb was recruiting Moroccans as well as bringing agents from neighboring Algeria.
