BAGHDAD — Iraq has launched a major offensive against the Al Qaida network.
Officials said Iraqi soldiers and police officers have been conducting operations against AQI in several provinces in the northern part of the country. They said the operation was meant to capitalize on the elimination of the top two leaders of Al Qaida in April.
