Threat by Chinese general on Korea alarms U.S. intelligence
A Chinese major general last week responded to comments by a retired U.S. military commander in South Korea by threatening that China will "set back the United States by 200 years" in a future conflict over Korea.
The alarming comments by the PLA general were largely ignored by most press outlets, but were highlighted on classified U.S. and allied databases as a very worrying indication of Chinese military animosity against the United States.
