Retired U.S. military officers take part in China-sponsored Sanya Initiative
A gathering of retired U.S. and Chinese military officers who were used in the past to advance Chinese propaganda themes met in Beijing last week.
The Sanya Initiative was formed under the direction of retired Adm. Bill Owens and retired Chinese Gen. Xiong Guangkai, former deputy chief of staff for intelligence.
